Custom Fitting

Let your game benefit from 1000+ clubfittings and

10+ years of experience as a professional clubfitter/maker

Want to lower your handicap ? Well, the industry average is a 25% reduction

when you play with clubs that have been fitted to you. So, if you’re off 24 that means

18 is possible and if you’re off 12, the dream single figure handicap becomes within

  reach.

True Clubfitting – the words “custom fit” are much used these days but, in truth,

there are few competent, in-depth club fittings carried out. As an award winning

clubfitter, my reputation for honesty and hype-free advice and experience gained from over 1000 clubfittings is at your disposal. During the clubfitting I will explain each step to you and at the end of the clubfitting we will discuss the options available to you.

 Your Clubfitting – will last about two hours. During this time we will check the

  following:-

Club length - the longer the shaft the more difficult it is to hit the ball out of the middle

  of the clubface

Gripsize – too thin a grip often causes too tight a grip which inhibits a full & free swing.

Shaft flex – it is essential that the speed at which your shaft has been designed to

strike the ball (measured with a shaft frequency analyser) is close to your clubhead

speed (the speed at which you strike the ball)

Clubhead design – are your clubs of a design that “fits” the way you strike the ball.

Are they of the correct loft and lie ?

Set make up – most club golfers struggle with 3 & 4 Irons. They should be replaced

by either 5 & 7 Woods or hybrid clubs.

Swingweight (how heavy or light the head feels) – players with faster tempos

generally benefit from having more feel in the head

Clubhead speed – measured electronically and should be close to the speed of the

  shaft in your club(s).

Launch angle  - measured by an electronic launch analyser which indicates if, after

striking the ball, it is achieving the correct trajectory.

If improvement on what you are currently playing with is possible, suitable trial clubs

will be selected for you to try. You will then be left alone for a period to try these out

on the range and also invited to take them away for a few days

Only when you are getting the results you are seeking, do you go ahead and order.
